With the regular sharpening of skills in mind, the FCS management keeps inviting
leaders in their respective fields, for continuous faculty training and development.
FCS is subject to regular audits and for maintaining their quality standards; being
one of the few ISO 9001:2000 certified Schools. We work in partnership with the
staff & make it our responsibility to ensure that our school is a happy environment,
in which children can work & play. We aim for highest achievement in establishing
a solid base for the preparation of a useful adult life. We perform a vital function in
developing expectations and capabilities, from the earliest age. Our aim is to
ensure our school reaches the level of the best. For this we have a team of

The FCS prepares boys and girls, in accordance with the 10+2 formula, for School
education; for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (10-year course)
examination and the Indian School Certificate (12-year course) examination,
conducted by the Council, for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
These certificates are recognized by the central and state governments in India, and
by almost all the universities, and for the purpose of Public Service Commission,
examinations and entrance to the universities. Our overseas students also find it
easier to get admission, to colleges abroad. English is the medium of instruction
and every student is expected to acquire accuracy and fluency in the language.
Other subjects taught are:
English Literature, Punjabi, Hindi, History, Geography, Economics, Commerce,
Structure of Modern Governments, Art, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics,
Computer Science, Music etc.
For girls, special classes in Home Science, Interior Decoration, Home Economics,
Needle Work and Dress Making are arranged, Music (vocal and instrumental) is
taught, both as a subject and as a hobby. While the play-way method of teaching is
adopted in the Elementary School, stress is laid on written work, in higher classes,
by paying individual attention to each child. Computer education is compulsory for
the Primary to the Senior School and both theory and practical exposure is
provided in the well-equipped Multi Media Labs, by a specialized faculty.

Curriculum
FCS aims to provide an enjoyable, satisfying programme of structured activities
with opportunities for all pupils to develop physically, socially and emotionally. We
offer a choice of games at the primary level & skills are developed from an early
age. GNFC is concerned with the overall development to 3H; (HEALTHY -
HAPPY - HOLY) Our PE (Physical Education) programme covers indoor games,
athletics & outdoor pursuits. Facilities are available for Hockey, Football, Cricket,
Basket Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Boxing, Karate, Skating, Gymnastics, Tennis,
Swimming, Fencing, amongst others. The School also provides an obstacle course
and which proves useful for such boys, who opt for the Defence Services as a
career. Students besides being a part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), also go
for river rafting in the flowing waters of the Ganges and Para Sailing, in the
surrounding hills. The development of confidence, tolerance & the appreciation of
one's own & other's strengths & weakness is considered to be an important part
of the learning process. Opportunities are given in the 'House Systems' to be
selected for teams to represent the school. This develops a healthy competitive
spirit, consumed with sportsmanship qualities. We hope, that the children will
develop, as a result of this programme, an appreciation of health, fitness & an
active life style.

Tours and Treks
The School sets aside a few days to allow faculty members and students to come
together. Time for these trips makes the campus abuzz. It is widely accepted that
they play an indispensable part, in development of personality and strengthening
the ties of friendship among students. Whether you are a serious athlete, a strictly
'for fun' enthusiast, or just looking to blow off some steam, you will have everything
