The degree of expectations has risen further. As promised the first community
radio station in the region is functioning in full swing. Not only the recorded programmes
but live shows are aired frequently. Young radio jockeys (boys and girls) are seen
flocking at the studio of Radio Khushi.
RJ Meezan burst out into tears and his excitement knew no bounds when he came
across 254 fans within an hour of live broad casting. Such are the events in our life that
induce happiness and are etched forever in our minds as pleasant memories.
This is just one incident. Radio Khushi entertains the local people with a variety of
information and music. It is a great entertainer while driving up and down to Mussoorie;
it can be heard at every snacks corner and at crossroads cum cafeterias.
Tiny tots at GNFCS today call themselves as radio jockeys. It is a trend. Master
Gurkirat, Mattu brothers, Miss Sunissa, Miss Shivani, Miss Taran are a few of the
popular RJs interspersed with a variety of programmes. Radio Khushi is a favorite of
the local populace. The secret of success of Radio Khushi is because of the additional
mile that a committed team of staff and students walk. Not only that, the Chairman’s
vision to impart quality education and to establish positive attitude amongst children has
enlightened the environment of Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School.
