Annual Inter House Gurbani Sangeet Competition Semi Final 2018
Annual Inter House Gurbani Sangeet Competition, semi-finals was held in Shangri-la on September 24, 2018. The venue for the event was the Shangri-la Assembly Hall.
The event was marked by the presence of the secretary, GNFCS, Sardar M.P. Singh ji, Sardarni Jashveen Kaur ji, Asees Kaur, Ishmeher Kaur, respected Dean N.D. Sawhney, respected Principal Mr. A.K. Tiwari, Sardar Harbans Singh and Mr. K.S. Tyagi.
All the students and the teachers from both the campuses were present during the event. The programme started with the recitation of the Japji Sahib ji and Sehaj path bhog.
The judges who were called to give their valuable judgement of the gurbani singing were Mrs. Ranjit Kaur Chugh, Ms. Anuradha Sharma and Mr. Jaideep.
The Gurbani singing was done in two phases. First the boys section performed the solo followed by girls solo shabad.
Programme was followed by the group shabads by boys and then by the girls. After the Gurbani singing concluded, the judges gave their judgement. Sardar M.P. Singh ji announced the result whereby in Boys solo – Attari & Ranjit

Girls Solo Nalwa & Attari
Girls group Nalwa & Attari were adjudged to be the qualifiers in the Gurbani singing competition. The final round will be held in Vincent Hill Gurudwara on eve of Founder’s Day on 6th October 2018.
After the results were announced Sardarni Jashveen Kaur ji shared her thoughts with the children. Our respected Dean Ma’am Sawhney also shared her valuable thoughts with the children and Sardarni Jashveen Kaur gave away token of appreciation to the esteemed judges.
Mrs. Ranjit Kaur ji enthralled the audience with Naam Simran in her melodious voice accompanied by our music teacher Mrs. Varinder Kaur ji and Sardar Harinder Singh ji.
This was followed by path Sri Anand Sahib by the Ardas and hukumnama . Lastly the programme was concluded by distribution of Karah prasad by staff and students.
