GNFC SCHOOL SALUTES THE NATION
The morning of 15th August called for patriotism and enthusiasm as Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School geared up to celebrate 75 years of Independence. The blue sky reminded us the words of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose “Forget not that the grossest crime is to compromise with injustice and wrong. You must give if you want to get”. How can we forget the sacrifices of the countless freedom fighters.
On this note the celebration started. The National flag, symbol of our pride and value was hoisted by the Principal, Mr Anil Tewari followed by the National Anthem. There was a short cultural programme after this. The occasion called for varied emotions as everyone recalled the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. If our heads are held high it’s only because of them. The Principal in his speech motivated the students by asking them to come forward and be the leaders of tomorrow and take this country to the next level. He also reminded the staff and students to not only enjoy this freedom but also to always remember the path to this freedom and the supreme sacrifices of the freedom fighters.
The students as proud citizens of this country resolved to build a better future for the country. The programme ended with the thought “May the Sun in his course visit no land more free, more happy, more lovely than this our country.”
Jai Hind!
