GURBANI SANGEET COMPETITION

The Inter House Gurbani Sangeet Competition marked the commencement of the 53rd  Founders’ Day celebrations.  Religious fervour, enthusiasm and excitement prevailed among the participants.  The outstanding performance by the Shangri-la girls and Vincent Hill boys with their melodious kirtan and Solo Shabad singing created another milestone in the pages of the Centonian. Eight solo and eight group shabads were recited by children enveloping the environment with devotional music and divine blessings.
Master Amritpal Singh of Nalwa House and Miss Shreya Negi of Ajit House stood first in the solos. In the group shabads Nalwa House from Vincent Hill and Attari House from Shangri-La lifted the coveted trophy.
Speaking on the occasion Bhai Charanjeet Singh Hazoori Ragi Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Dehradun congratulated the children for their excellent performance. He motivated and encouraged the participants and also asked them to make Gurbani Sangeet a part of their lives.
The program concluded with the Principal, Mr. Anil Tewari thanking and honoring the judges and appreciating the Music and Divinity Departments for putting up an excellent presentation.  He also mentioned that, “Education is incomplete if it is devoid of spiritual growth”. Children of GNFCS are fortunate to receive education in a holistic environment dwelling in God’s love. They learn and value the importance of the Divine notes of the Gurus.
