Ambassador of Thailand to India visits School

It was an honour to have H.E Mr. Chutintorn Sam Gongsakdi along with Embassy Officials Miss Oraya Wittayasooporn and Mr. Kritnarong Sereeswad visit the school on 30th July, 2018. A very warm welcome was accorded to His Excellency by Mrs. N. D. Sawhney the Dean, Mr. A. K. Tewari the Principal and all the Thai children.

They met the boys and girls and were happy to see the smiling faces of all the children. In the two hours they spent in school they were delighted to interact and exchange ideas with them. He was also glad to note about the welfare of the children and the facilities provided. During his interaction with the children he enquired about the academic performances and the children’s interest in the field of games and sports. He also highlighted that the children were fortunate to receive quality education in a pollution free environment and explained the advantages of learning languages like Hindi and Punjabi along with English. His Excellency also spoke about how a lot of good aspects of both the countries India and Thailand were not known to several of us.

The Thai children and staff of the school enjoyed every moment of the time they spent here. Prior to their departure Mr. Chutintorn Gongsakdi presented selected titles for the school library viz King Bhumibol Adulyadej – A life’s work (ii) A Call to Action – Thailand and the sustainable development goals. (iii) Sawasdee India Thailand India student exchange programme and few others. An eco-friendly carry bag with the logo of Thai Embassy was gifted to each child and a memento was presented to the Dean of the school Mrs. N. D. Sawhney.

On behalf of the Management & staff, the Principal Mr. A. K. Tewari expressed gratitude and thanked H.E Mr. Chutintorn Gongsakdi for honouring us by his visit and along with Mrs. Sawhney presented him a souvenir. This was followed by high tea in which the children joined the guests. It was indeed a very enlightening session.
